Welcome to SOMEORI YOSHIDA.
I am Mihoko Yoshida, a contemporary handweaver and textile artist based in Kumamoto, Japan.

From my atelier, I create one-of-a-kind kimono, obi, and other textiles, one piece at a time.

Each piece begins with color, thread, and time at the loom. 

Some are created freely as individual works, while others are woven in close conversation with the people who will wear them.

I hope you enjoy exploring my work and the world of SOMEORI YOSHIDA.
